On October 1, 2024, I rejoined Weight Watchers. I had participated a few years ago and lost 30 lbs. However, after a camping trip, I fell off the program, and once I started consuming sugar again, I couldn't stop, regaining much of the weight. Since October, I've lost 32 lbs now, and this time I'm committed to making it a lifestyle change rather than just a temporary diet. I have seen the benefits not only for weight loss but how my body feels. Less digestive issues, eliminate inflammation and my skin elasticity seems better. Last night's meal was delightful, Flank Steak, cottage cheese, pickled veggies and sprinkled feta cheese. I'm experimenting with fermenting and pickling vegetables and fruits, as I've discovered they're beneficial not only for weight loss but also for gut health. We're now exclusively eating sourdough bread that I bake, and I've been pickling red onions; I've also started pickling carrots and white onions together. It's so simple, just cut up the veggies and add vinegar, water, minced garlic, pepper and any other seasoning you like. I love this combination as it complements any dish and has replaced all my salad dressings, with 0 points. I'm focused on staying strong and enjoying life!
