Painting

A few years ago, I started painting. I would find a video online demonstrating a simple painting technique, and I made myself a painting box with all the supples I needed. Occasionally, I would take it outside to my porch and attempt to replicate what was shown in the video. I can't tell you how many times I was completely unsuccessful at this. I don't consider myself an artist, but in reality, we all are when we create something. I just kept trying and below are two of my paintings that I loved how they turned out. I gave the mountain scene to my daughter Lauren, who lives in the mountains of North Carolina, and I gave the beach scene to my daughter Katie, who lives in Charleston area like us. They aren't perfect, but I had them framed and gifted to them for Christmas one year. It was special to them, and it means the world to me that they each have them hanging up in their homes.
